Readers of the Contact track United Methodist news, get ideas to use, and find out Church leaders’ views. Contact is produced in print and online by the Oklahoma Conference Department of Communications.
What version do you prefer? You may choose:
-
Contact, the newspaper. Each 16-page issue covers Church news in Oklahoma, the nation, and world, with the help of our communications partner, The United Methodist Reporter. Twice a month, Contact is sent via U.S. Mail. (Monthly in July, August, and December.) Contact is mailed free of charge to each church’s leaders who are named on the "Church Key Lay Leaders Form," in the Charge Conference reports. Each fall, it is crucial to submit an accurate form, including addresses. On that form, churches may choose to add leaders not specified, such as those who direct worship, age-level programs, and missions committees.Anyone interested in an individual Contact subscription may purchase it for $15 per year.Multiple copies of Contact also can be ordered, for a fee, and sent via bulk mail to one address. Using this method, a church could offer the newspaper to every worshipper at Sunday service.
-
Contact Digest, a free electronic newsletter. This is distributed by e-mail. It contains the Oklahoma Conference news, from the newspaper’s A section. The Digest occasionally shares additional news the newspaper cannot accommodate.
-
Contact online, in PDF format. Section A of the latest newspaper can be viewed for free online. Go to the Oklahoma Conference homepage (www.okumc.org), and click the "Contact" button on the left side of the page.
-
Contact, the Magazine. This special publication goes to readers who receive the newspaper. It spotlights churches’ ministry successes, points to helpful resources, and explores personal journeys.
